As we celebrate the 110th Guinarona San Pascual Baylon Fiesta, May 16-17, 2014, and even as our century-old image has heretofore not been recovered, we pay tribute to the saint through a photo essay. The original was a scanned copy from former fiesta hermana, Salvacion Juanico-Navora. Our celebration is akin to a remembrance of the dead, the physical body/image no longer being there. Our loss, however, is being tempered with the presence of the San Pascual Baylon bone relic, which the Basilica San Pascual Baylon in Vila-real, Spain, has kindly provided Guinarona. The bone relic is the first of its kind in the whole Philippines, a great distinction for our place.
On the other hand, here is the Guinarona San Pascual Baylon bone relic.
