Super Thank You, Mr. President!

This is the true story of how Pres. Aquino saved the life of Mary Jane Veloso according to officials of the Diplomatic Corps of Indonesia and the Philippines.

Mary Jane Veloso, is sentenced to die by Firing Squad on April 29.

April 27 – ASEAN State heads attended the annual ASEAN Summit held in Malaysia, Pres. Aquino’s priorities are, 1. South China Sea Dispute, 2. Mary Jane Veloso with Pres. Widodo 3. Economic Trade/Pact with ASEAN Nations.

Pres. Aquino requested a meeting with the Indonesian President for Mary Jane Veloso to be given clemency, the meeting lasted only 5 minutes to which Pres. Widodo refused the clemency appeal. Pres. Aquino FAILED.

April 28 – Pres. Aquino is back in the Philippines. With his failure to appeal for Mary Jane Veloso, Pres. Aquino immediately called a top level meeting with officials of the DFA and DOJ as Mary Jane Veloso is due to be executed at midnight in Indonesia.

As concluded in the meeting, the President made a personal call with Pres. Widodo for a final review on Mary Jane Veloso’s case.

8pm Jakarta, Indonesia. Upon the personal call of Pres. Aquino, Pres. Widodo called an emergency cabinet meeting with his top level officials to review the case of Mary Jane.

AT the meeting, Pres. Widodo and his officials have agreed that the execution be continued. No more appeals for they have made similar executions to other nationalities such as Australians, Chinese, and Brazilians which are far more powerful than Indonesia.

Back at Malacanang, all hopes and legal remedies have been exhausted.

9:30 pm Manila, Philippines. DFA made the announcement that Mary Jane Veloso’s fate is now in God’s hands.
(Now, this is the best part of the story)
11 pm Pres. Aquino went to his personal room for some privacy. Now, with all his courage and bravery, he made an emergency call to Pres. Widodo for the last time despite the fact that the Philippine Government has made numerous attempts with numerous refusals from Indonesia and that our relations with Indonesia is in jeopardy specially as we are expecting the support of Indonesia on the West Philippine Sea Dispute.

Everything is at stake.

The call lasted for 15 mins and no one would ever know what transpired in that historic moment.
After the call, Pres. Widodo ordered the cancellation of the execution of Mary Jane Veloso.
While in the Philippines, Filipinos will never appreciate what their President has done despite the fact that President Aquino as a Father to his nation had just begged for the life of Mary Jane Veloso.

Let everyone know the TRUTH, Salute for the President!

Leah Navarro:

Mrs Celia Veloso, you have me scratching my head in confusion. Why do you, VP Binay and the extreme, militant left all sound the same in acknowledging that all of you were instrumental in saving the life of Mary Jane Veloso? Why are you so concerned about who should be credited with getting Mary Jane spared from execution?

Please correct me if I am wrong: in an interview with Radyo Inquirer, you thanked the President for saving your daughter’s life, but today you retracted that and said President was not instrumental at all.

If he was not at all instrumental, kindly explain to the Filipino people what you think prompted President Widodo to allow the execution of the nationals of other countries and stay the execution of your daughter?

Was it Migrante or your lawyer who discussed it with Pres. Widodo? Was it Vice President Binay who, in his own words, did not even raise the matter with President Widodo? Is there anyone I am missing out on here? Please tell me.

Along with the entire country, I am one with you in rejoicing that Mary Jane’s execution was stayed but I cannot in good conscience allow you to stain the efforts of this administration, specifically the efforts of President Aquino. The President wrote to President Widodo several times, spoke to him specifically about your daughter, spoke to the Indonesian Foreign Minister to convince all of them that Mary Jane was a key witness against her recruiters and therefore, her execution should be stayed. How can I agree with your statement when even the Indonesian government admitted the role of President Aquino?

To paraphrase the president, “bahala na po ang sambayanan ang magsabi.” The entire Filipino nation kept vigil and prayed with you. It is no longer your right alone to judge what the president did or did not do.

On Love of Country

Item: Americans are a patriotic bunch. Compared with people in most other countries, Americans express more pride in their nationality, and most say that being an American is an important part of their identity.

Even so, patriotism in America is on the decline.

But the decline seems to have more to do with reactions to the symbols of American democracy than its values. Older Americans remain remarkably high in their devotion to symbols like the flag, while young citizens are cooler toward Old Glory but express higher support for classic American ideals like equality and opportunity.

Item: As often occurs, I run the risk of offending patriotic Filipinos, some of whom I might refer to as Pacquiao patriots and others who have traveled the world, and still relish coming home. I’m looking for a deep meaning to patriotism. One that is rich and caring, where the reason for being patriotic is not “me”, but “us”, the nation Philippines. For example, people with the kind of patriotism I’m talking about would have no patience for corruption because corruption undermines the nation’s well-being.

“We don’t care.”  A phrase that is both unscrupulous and very apropos. All we care about is how to outsmart each other, and if you are in government. outsmarting the people you are supposed to serve. Call it the exigencies of an era, but patriotism or love of country has taken a hike.  The out-of-the-ballpark case of unpatriotic chutzpah is the selling of the Spratly Islands to China by Gloria Arroyo and her ilk.  Now the aggressive Chinese are exacting their pound of flesh.  President Noynoy Aquino’s government is now in a severe bind and find it very difficult to contain the Chinese land-grab.  It does not help that funds for the modernization of the Philippine Armed Forces have been pocketed by previous dispensations.

Call it the age, but Filipinos–at least the noisy ones in media and social networking–are cunningly bereft of patriotism, which borders on lunacy.  The likes of Noli de Castro, for example.  Oh, and there are a lot more out there.

By and large, overseas Filipinos are more patriotic than those left behind.  It simply is a case of distinguishing the forest from the trees.  They see and appreciate the macro like flying over the terrain. Too, they are not subjected to the negative narratives of the Philippine Media.

With China creeping in, how would these recalcitrant media fare under Communist rule?

A big think, indeed.

An Open Letter to the Liberal Party

Dear Liberal Party,

Most impressive are the gains the Philippines has achieved under your aegis. Your program of good governance deserves kudos. More power to you!

While the country is facing two-pronged dangers, to wit, the Chinese incursion into Philippine territory (we have to thank Gloria Arroyo for that) and the rotten individuals seeking office in the forthcoming presidential elections, please bear in mind that a lot of Filipinos are aware of these dangers. Suffice it to say that we have to sustain, nay improve on the gains in the political, economic and social fronts thus far achieved.

Thanks to the World Wide Web, the correct information is accessible in real time. We appreciate the fact that your governance has acknowledged that information is a basic need, and you have addressed this need with the provision of WiFi hotspots all over the Philippines.

Which brings us to the importance of real surveys—surveys not paid for by vested interests. These paid surveys are nothing more than conditioning the minds of people for them to accept their cheating in the elections.

We submit that you consider the survey herewith:  PH 2016: The Mother of All Surveys

First, the survey is done in real time, with strict protocols and one person one vote.

Second, the survey is free to access anywhere in the world, so that our kababayans abroad can participate too.

The survey started April 17 and will end on May 17. Here is a snippet of the poll results, so far.

Please consider this as our contribution to an enlightened Philippines.

Yours truly,

The Scry as Oracle

THE SCRY AS ORACLE, Volume I, Number 1

STARTING TODAY, we are going to highlight the energies of a particular day, as put out by the Spirit through The Scry. In essence, Spirit has suggested to us precisely that. Your interpretation of any scry is valid. because the message that you sense is applicable to you. We won’t be putting out any interpretation, as such, because each person has a different set of circumstances, nay, reality.

Scrying is a method of divination and takes on many forms. Information received varies with the type of scrying one is using to get answers. Information can be objective, message given that are independent of the scryer – or subjective, determined or influenced by the scryer. Scrying can also be viewed as a form of mediumship, messages allegedly coming from another realm. This all goes to the scrying tool used and the interpretation of the symbol shown. A dream dictionary is often helpful.

As consciousness is evolving, so too are the meanings of the symbols.

Scrying comes from the Old English word descry meaning “to make out dimly” or “to reveal.” Adding the prefix/suffix ‘be’ (often ‘gye’ in Germanic languages), gives us the modern word ‘describe’.

Here our our scry oracles for today, 4/19/2015.

The hint is that we have the Alligator Energy extant.

PH 2016: A Survey

Come on, Philippines, let’s do it.  I just don’t buy the “surveys” where Binay and Poe are dominant.  It’s as if Filipinos are idiotic and a sucker for self-flagellation.

The Mother of All Updates

The New San Pascual Baylon Han Guinarona

Re the New San Pascual Baylon Han Guinarona image project, we are now in the final phase, namely the sewing of the saint’s garment and the assembly of the narra carroza. The contractor is artist Leandro Baldemor of Paete, Laguna.

The project consists of the following:

1. Main image, five foot-seven in height and a base of angels.
2. Garment, royal-quality, the material of which comes from Dubai–a donation from a Dubai-based Guinaronanhon.
3. State-of-the-art carroza, with generator and lights.

The new San Pascual image is patterned after that of Vila-real, Spain, where a basilica is dedicated to the saint.

We enjoin everybody to chip in any amount for the Project. Our treasurer is Helen Belonias-Gumba.

A food for thought: Being rich is not about how much you have, as it is about how much you give.

Also, man does not live by bread alone.

Man of the Hour

Just to say, Mabuhay ka, Senator Sonny Trillanes!

Senator Sonny Trillanes

You remind me of the young Ninoy Aquino, whose courage in exposing the blatant corruption in government in his day, was exemplary.

Greatness is yours, Mr. Senator, and Filipinos are the better for it.

Destiny awaits. And if that destiny entails being the next President of the Philippines. . .

As the kids would say, Eh, di WOW!

And I will support you in a heartbeat.
